“I highly recommend regular use of the oxygen chamber for healing the whole body.”
Hyperbaric ' Oxygen ' Chamber

Hyperbaric oxygenation therapy is a medically-proven technology to deliver more oxygen molecules into your body with EACH breath that you take. Just imagine 1 hour of breathing extra oxygen into your body, giving your body supplemental energy to ALL areas of your body. The body knows how to heal, give it more currency ($) and watch it do its job better, particularly when it comes to faster and effective healing!
What is Hyperbaric Oxygenation Therapy?
“Extra oxygen into the human body for therapeutic effects”
The use of high pressure chambers (called hyperbaric chambers) has been used in hospitals traditionally for emergency conditions requiring extra oxygen. Understanding the importance of this nutrient, why not use a medically-proven technology to get more oxygen into your body for non-emergency conditions!
Oxygen 101:
Air contains 21% oxygen, 79% nitrogen, and less than 1% of other gases including C02. When you breathe, this mixture of gases in air bypass your digestive tract and go straight into the lungs, via the trachea, and finally end up in these tiny lung sacs called alveoli. It is here in the alveoli that they sit and wait to be absorbed into the body. As the heart pumps blood into the lungs, this becomes the opportunity for these oxygen molecules to diffuse through the sac and into the red blood cells. (show picture). This process is VERY efficient and the red blood cells leave the lungs completely full (we are talking 97-99% capacity!!!). Actually, there is still oxygen molecules lining up in the lung sacs, waiting to get into the red blood cell, but can’t due to the capacity reached. Therefore breathing extra oxygen is not going to make a significant difference to getting more oxygen into the body.
However, breathing oxygen under pressure is a completely different effect. Here, the extra oxygen that is sitting in the alveoli (lung sacs) in the lungs, can now penetrate and diffuse into the blood stream. This process is part of a gas-pressure law that states “the greater the pressure, the greater the absorption of the gas into the liquid (the gas being oxygen and the liquid being the blood plasma)
This produces a profound increase in oxygen molecules that can now enter the body for its physiological effects. Because the oxygen is now super-saturated and dissolved in the blood plasma (fluid carrying the blood cells), this effect can allow for oxygen to get into deeper areas of the body, while having more direct oxidative and oxygenation effect. We call this the ‘hyperbaric effect’ where the oxygen in a hyperbaric chamber can get beyond areas of inflammation and tissue injury, as they are in free form waiting to be converted to cellular ATP energy for the body to use.
In a hyperbaric chamber, every time you take a breath, you get more oxygen molecules into your body. As time goes by, your blood oxygen and tissue oxygen become elevated to the point that the body can direct the extra oxygen into areas of need, particularly wounds and injuries. Now the body converts this into its currency for healing (Cellular ATP). Now let the body heal, repair, rejuvenate, and function at a grater level.
It should be noted that hyperbaric oxygenation therapy typically comprises of 3 variables to give an effective dosage of cellular (ATP) energy transference into the body:
-
Depth normally between 1.3 to 2.5 ATA
-
Oxygen percentage normally between 21% (AIR) to 100% (pure oxygen
-
Time normally 30 to 90 minutes
As extra oxygen gets into your body and your tissue, they transfer their energy and there is a profound generation of
1) Cellular ATP. This is the body’s currency of energy that it can use for all it’s needs, including functioning and more importantly in repair and regeneration of tissue.
2) Nitric Oxide (NO) release. Nitric oxide plays an integral role in the body’s ability to enhance blood flow, both locally and systemically. This signaling molecule causes the smooth muscle of the arteries to relax and this allows the blood vessel to open up to all the pressure that is in the blood vessel. So, not only will it reduce the pressure against the vessels, but it will also provide more blood passing through the extra diameter that has been created in these vessels.
What is mild hyperbaric therapy?
Hyperbaric oxygen is a proven medical treatment, used in hospitals and wound care centers for 14 very serious conditions, where this procedure delivers a significantly higher concentration of oxygen into the body. This is done by providing breathing 100% oxygen, at pressures that normally range between 33 and 66 feet below sea level. The combination allows for a very high ‘dose’ of oxygen. This normally requires medical supervision and attention for observation and limitations of side effects, including oxygen toxicity.
Mild Hyperbaric therapy is a much simpler procedure, that allows for an extremely safe increase in tissue oxygen levels. This procedure is applied medically for those suffering from altitude sickness, where higher elevations can cause dangerously low oxygen levels in the body. The physiological increase in oxygen provided by the mild hyperbaric chamber is just enough to help these individuals prevent major long-term damages. This is accomplished by going only around 10 feet below sea level and breathing regular filtered air. By going to a lower depth of pressure and by not using high oxygen concentrations, mild hyperbaric therapy is an extremely safe way to cause a significant enhancement of oxygen in the body.
One major advantage that mild hyperbaric therapy gives, is that the extra oxygen absorbed by the body is dissolved in the blood plasma that carries the red blood cells. This means that there is a potential for oxygen to get into deeper areas of the body where red blood cells (due to size) cannot get into. Inflammation is a common example, where oxygen delivered through a hyperbaric chamber can get deep into the inflamed tissue, and begin the repair process.
The following are reported benefits with their proposed mechanisms
Remember, hyperbaric chambers are only approved to show benefit for 14 serious medical conditions and mild hyperbaric chambers are only approved to show benefit for acute mountain (altitude) sickness. However, there are numerous studies along with case reports of benefits for various health conditions. The following are a list of conditions that have been reported and we have summarized some of the proposed mechanisms that may be involved.
Circulation: Promote Blood Flow
-
Cold Hands and Feet, Atherosclerosis, Ulcerations: For conditions from cold hands and feet to severe circulation deficiencies that involve compromised tissue and hard to heal wounds, hyperbaric oxygen therapy is the answer. Oxygen under pressure helps to create new blood vessels in our bodies. In medical terminology, this is called angiogenesis. The generation of brand new blood vessels is extremely beneficial for your body. Enhance your circulation with hyperbaric oxygenation therapy.
-
Angiogenesis: Hyperbaric Oxygenation therapy generates a tremendous amount of energy (throughout the body), and the body responds by using this excess energy to build new blood vessels, where there are areas of poor blood flow. This process is particularly clear when there is a lack of blood flow to an area.
-
Vasodilation: Hyperbaric Oxygenation therapy generates a great amount of nitric oxide. This signaling molecule, as already discussed, is primarily responsible for opening up the blood vessels and providing greater blood flow.
Dextoxification: Enhance the Excretion of toxic chemicals
-
Heavy Metals, Carbon Monoxide, Environmental Chemicals, Pesticides/Herbicides: The body requires an extensive amount of oxygen during detoxification processes. In our vastly polluted world, hyperbaric oxygen can be the critical variable to having proper excretion of harmful chemicals from our body.
-
Fat Metabolism and Break Down: Hyperbaric Oxygenation therapy helps to oxidize fatty tissue and help promote the lipolysis (or break down) of fatty tissue.
-
Chemical Mobilization: Hyperbaric Oxygenation therapy has a profound effect on the circulatory affect, as previously noted. However, another aspect not yet discussed is it’s direct and large effects on the lymphatic circulation, bringing all the waste products back into the liver for being transformed into excrete-able forms.
-
Enhance Liver Functioning: Hyperbaric Oxygenation therapy provides extra oxygen and support for the liver and has been shown to increase the number of liver cells, while providing better blood flow to the liver cells, and an increase (through the generation of ROS) in the anti-oxidant protection of these cells.
Additional benefits reported:
Wound Healing
Such a powerful effect on enhancing wound healing, HBOT is a mainstay in many hospitals and wound centers AROUND THE WORLD, due to the significant benefits that occur. The combination of the extra cellular energy (ATP) provided by HBOT, along with the enhancement of blood flow through the angiogenesis and Nitric Oxide release provide the extras needed to begin or enhance the wound healing process. Also, the generation of localized reactive oxygen species (ROS) provide the cell signaling molecules necessary for wound repair and collagen growth
Brain/Neurological Conditions
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is unique to any other therapy used for brain injuries and neurological conditions: It is the only therapy known that can significantly raise the oxygen content in the brain and cause an adaptation for repair and quicker recovery. The results of using HBOT adjunctively with have been extremely positive and now the research is in, showing us the value of applying repetitive HBOT.
We have categorized neurological disorders into 3 major areas, all of which have shown great promise with the application of HBOT: Neurodevelopment disorders, neurological disorders, and neurodegenerative disorders
Pain/Inflammation
Fibromyalgia, Degenerative Arthritis, Back Pain, Whiplash Injuries
Where we have pain, we normally have inflammation. It is extremely important for oxygen to reach nerve endings and the affected area to provide healing and relief. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy provides the oxygen necessary to bypass the inflammation around the tissue, to activate fibroblasts and start the repair process. Experience this natural treatment and feel how it is to be pain free.
Tissue Regeneration
Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy has been shown in many studies to provide enhanced regeneration of cells and tissues. In a day and age where degenerative diseases and conditions predominate, the regenerative aspects of localized LLLT are quite exciting. It makes sense that with extra cellular energy (ATP) and blood flow, the body can enhance it’s regenerative capabilities. A number of studies are showing that light therapy enhances the production and mobilization of stem cells. This can have profound future implications in regenerative medicine, when looking at major organ damages (ie, the liver, brain, heart, etc)
Immune Support
Colds/Flus, Candida, Chronic Infections, Cancer
Oxygen is essential to proper immune functioning. The immune system uses oxygen-derived molecules that are released to kill invading organisms. As we age and through environmental pollution, our oxygen levels in our white blood cells and other tissues decline considerably. Give your immune system an edge in fighting off the harmful pathogens that exist in our increasingly hostile environment.
Weight Loss
We are living in an overfed and reduced state. In other words, we are eating too much and counteracting our over consumption with too many antioxidants. We have lost the ability to properly oxidize fats and other tissues in our body. It is quite clear that this is one crucial reason why we are losing our ability to metabolize. Oxidation is absolutely essential to metabolic processes particularly with metabolism of fat and supporting optimal thyroid functioning.
Injury and Repair
Plastic Surgery Healing, Sports Injuries
Hyperbaric oxygen has been shown to help speed up healing from injuries by causing a substantial increase in fibroblast activity, which lays the foundation for tissue repair and collagen formation. It has long been used by many professional athletes and sports teams to aid in quicker recovery. See for yourself how quickly injuries can be repaired.
Age-Related Degenerative Conditions
Memory and Brain Functioning, Chronic Wound Healing, Diabetes, Heart Disease Macular Degeneration, Osteoarthritis
With aging comes a substantial decline in tissue oxygen levels. This has been shown to be part of a wide number of age- related conditions. With hyperbaric oxygen, we can easily correct this deficient state of oxygen that we are in. Give your body a fighting chance during the aging process and get the oxygen it needs for proper functioning of your complete body Quitting Smoking.
Through years of smoking and being around second hand smoke, the many harmful and toxic compounds get stored in our body tissues. Even years after quitting smoking we still are affected by these chemicals. Not only are the toxic chemicals from cigarettes stored in our bodies but a chronic buildup of carbon monoxide (CO) causes significant oxygen deprivation to our tissues.
Contraindications
The only absolute contraindication to hyperbaric therapy is a collapsed lung. Others range depending on the pressure, time, and ultimate dosage that one receives. The higher the dosage, the greater the potential for risk. To the extreme of high dosages, as used in hospital treatments, the following are precautions and risks that should be discussed if relevant.
-
Pregnancy
-
Seizure disorders
-
Ear pain
-
Cataracts
-
Emphysema and lung disease
-
Certain medications
-
Cold and flus
Legalities and Informed Consent
As the popularity of hyperbaric chambers grows, we need to carefully educate the public and stay within the regulatory guidelines. As of now, all hyperbaric chambers are classed as a medical device, even the mild hyperbaric chambers, which means that it is important that you are screened for safety, and are given a prescription from a licensed doctor authorized in your area to prescribe oxygen. For this reason, not all of the locations will offer this service on-site <view the ones that do>
In addition, you should be informed that unless you are using the hyperbaric chamber for one of the medically-approved conditions, this application is defined as being off-label and should not be used to treat a medical condition, without looking at approved medical options. We would be more than happy to go over all this, so that you are well aware of the reasons and consequences of going into a hyperbaric chamber. This is not only for your safety, but also so that you are able to have the best possible experience remember, the wellness without limits philosophy:
To use hyperbaric chambers to give the body ‘extra’ physiological oxygen, with the goal that the body uses this to support it’s innate ability for optimal function, tissue repair, and tissue regeneration.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy brought back quality of life to myself.
I deal with chronic pain from degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis. I have also been in recovery from a torn knee, and had repair surgery in March 2014. the recovery has been slow and painful, including lots of swelling in leg. This brought me down and didn't help in pain level. Pain medicine helped control pain to some degree, but the side effects was also another thing to deal with. The first time in the chamber, I needed help to get in. I was in deep pain and very weak. Within a week I saw my usage of Motrin was reduced. Plus I was able to sleep through the night for the first time in a long time. By 20 treatments I was seeing more strength in whole body and reductions of several medicines. I was also getting into the chamber without help. the swelling in my leg also reduced by 80%. By 40th treatment, I had energy to continue the lifestyle I desired. Now six weeks since last treatment I continue to see improvement in overall health and able to continue phys. therapy at a more advance level than before oxygen therapy. My legs are back to original size and I feel renewed and refueled. I also see and feel renewing in my back. HBOT is an important tool in anyone's life.
